J'avais dit tout le bien que je pense de Seide lors d'un numéro des Crocs du Scribe leur étant entièrement dédié (voir ici pour les retardataires : https://www.webzinelescribedurock.com/2020/05/les-crocs-du-scribe-100-seide.html) et ce n'est pas ce Auakistla nouveau qui va me faire changer d'avis !
Toujours varié et riche, le black metal de Seide passe sans transition de la bourrasque brutale et glaciale du premier titre ("les repus d'avant apocalypse") a un deuxième morceau d'anthologie qui dit tout le bien que le groupe pense de l'humanité ("Exécrable créature" au sein duquel le chant versatile de Count D. fait merveille, avec cette qualité rare déclamatoire qui fait que l'on comprend quasiment chaque mot qu'il prononce). Si la musique du combo fait mouche, et sait se montrer inventive et évite toute redondance, il faut avouer que la performance vocale de Count D. est à couper le souffle ! Autant a l'aise dans un registre grave quasi-death metal que dans des cris de goule beaucoup plus black ou un chant semi-clair et plaintif pas si loin d'une version française de Niklas de Shining, on se dit que cet homme là peut faire ce qu'il veut de son organe (vocal, pour le reste ça le regarde, lol). A nouveau, comme pour Beyond The Fallacy, le groupe joue la carte de la variété, mais avec une cohérence renforcée au niveau de l'ensemble, les titres s'enchainent sans ennui aucun mais sans non plus dérouter le potentiel auditeur perturbé par trop de différences.

I had said all the good things I think of Seide during an issue of Les Crocs du Scribe entirely dedicated to them (see here for latecomers: https://www.webzinelescribedurock.com/2020/05/les-crocs-du-scribe-100-seide.html) and it's not this new Auakistla that will make me change my mind!
Always varied and rich, Seide's black metal goes without transition from the brutal and icy gust of wind of the first track ("les repus d'avant apocalypse") to a second song of anthology which says all the good that the band thinks about humanity ("Exécrable créature" in which Count D.'s versatile vocals do wonders, with that rare declamatory quality that makes you understand almost every word he says). If the combo's music hits the nail on the head, is inventive and avoids any redundancy, we must admit that Count D.'s vocal performance is breathtaking! As much at ease in a low register quasi-death metal as in much blacker ghoul screams or a semi-clear and plaintive vocal not so far from a French version of Niklas de Shining, we tell ourselves that this man can do what he wants with his organ (vocal, for the rest it's his business, lol). Once again, as for Beyond The Fallacy, the band plays the variety card, but with a reinforced coherence at the level of the whole, the tracks follow one another without any boredom but without confusing the potential listener disturbed by too many differences.
