(Fr/Eng) Un Sacrifice Expiatoire pour le Black Metal : Interview avec Sühnopfer

Image

INTERVIEW NUMEN - Basque Black Metal ! English & French Text - Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions - Pierre Avril

Image
Erre de Numen Numen is a superb example of Black Metal from the Spanish Basque Country, and also a veteran band, having been around since 1997. To mark the release of their latest album, “Erre,” on Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions, I had the chance to interview them. Hello, Numen. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your new album, “Erre”? Hi, greetings from Arrasate—Lander here. Thank you very much for having us. The new album consists of five tracks. It’s still Numen, but there’s been an evolution in technical skill and song composition. Without straying from our roots, it's aggressive, straight-ahead black metal—Numen in its purest form. As for the lyrical content, the entire album is conceptual. 'Erre' means 'To Burn', and It deals with the witch hunts carried out in Iparralde back in the early 17th century. Your songs explore the ancient beliefs of the Basque Country. Could you give us some examples of these beliefs and the rituals associate...

INTERVIEW - ENGLISH + FRANÇAIS - BAL-SAGOTH - ULTIMA THULE IS STILL SHAKING ! - EPIC CULT BLACK METAL FROM UK

Image
Battle Magic by Bal-Sagoth Bal-Sagoth! For those of you who were lucky enough to experience the intense emotions of the 90's in Black Metal, this is the still vivid memory of an epic symphonic Black Metal band from Great Britain, who was holding the sword high in front of  Cradle Of Filth in the second half of the decade. It was a literate band, which was the emblem of a dreamlike Black Metal, full of fantasy heroism, with Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard and the myths of antique history as its inspiration. A band that left a lasting impression on me. That's why I'm proud to reproduce here the interview given to me by Byron Roberts, leader of the band and Fantasy writer, where he agreed to come back with me on each album of the band, going through the eras, but also to talk to us about his literary work and his present and future projects!  Hello Byron, and thank you for doing me the honor of answering my questions...Let's start with the present before we dive into the glor...

Jours Pâles : Interview avec Asphodèle, et à propos de Malenuit - Audrey Sylvain - Fr/Eng

Image

NICOLAS CLAUX - Interview - Put The Fun In Funeral - Français + English Text - Murderabilia/Peinture/Ecriture - Le Scribe Du Rock

Nicolas Claux : Put The Fun In Funeral, une/an interview avec/with Le Scribe Du Rock "Peuple de France, le gouvernement te ment.

INTERVIEW WITH DANIEL LUKES, STANIMIR PANAYOTOV AND JACI RAIA ABOUT THE BOOK BLACK METAL RAINBOWS   Black Metal Rainbows de Black Metal Rainbows PIERRE AVRIL LE SCRIBE DU ROCK WWW.WEBZINELESCRIBEDUROCK.COM   Hi Daniel, Jaci and Stanimir ! Thank you for answering my questions! You have published a superb book entitled Black Metal Rainbows , featuring a collective reflection—produced by numerous contributors—on queer and anarchist black metal that is inclusive and rebellious. Can you tell us about this work? Daniel Lukes: The book came together following a “black metal theory” symposium that took place in Dublin in 2015, with a goal of injecting some color and some queerness into that field of discussion, which was arguably emphasized mainly one aspect of the black metal equation: the Nietzschean obscurantist/elitist side. The conference featured Drew Daniel, who notoriously presented his paper in corpsepaint, and the logo was done by Christoph Szpajdel, who was fresh off worki...

DEATH/BLACK AMBIENT TRAP INDUSTRIAL : INTERVIEW WITH NERGRISEN Negrisen is a Death/Black Metal Ambient Trap Industrial project i found on Soundcloud. This project represents a new kind of musical violence to discover. Interview ! Hi Negrisen, can you introduce yourself to our readers ? Hello guys 🙂 My name is Richard, I’m 21-year-old guy originally from Latvia (my native language is russian, that’s why some songs are on russian), but I live in Spain since I’m 13. Your music i discovered on Soundcloud is truly fascinating. It's kind of mix of Trap Metal, Death/Black Metal with Ambient/industrial  touches. Do you agree ? Thank you a lot! Honestly, I’m not even sure, how to categorize my music, I just do what I feel like and what I genuinely enjoy. I experiment a lot, and already did songs in different genres, and will continue experiment further, so you never know what to expect from me. But what I stick to normally, is a heavy sound on distorted beats, I call it De...
