Erre de Numen Numen is a superb example of Black Metal from the Spanish Basque Country, and also a veteran band, having been around since 1997. To mark the release of their latest album, “Erre,” on Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions, I had the chance to interview them. Hello, Numen. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your new album, “Erre”? Hi, greetings from Arrasate—Lander here. Thank you very much for having us. The new album consists of five tracks. It’s still Numen, but there’s been an evolution in technical skill and song composition. Without straying from our roots, it's aggressive, straight-ahead black metal—Numen in its purest form. As for the lyrical content, the entire album is conceptual. 'Erre' means 'To Burn', and It deals with the witch hunts carried out in Iparralde back in the early 17th century.  MOLDE Shroud Of The Necromancer 2023 The Ritual Productions black metal with doom edges You don't change a winning team, and that's why we didn't have to wait another 19 years to hear the follow-up of Molde's previous effort, the excellent "The Messenger" of which you can find my review here. "Shroud Of The Necromancer" is the second Irish album composed of Ollie Ver (instruments and compositions) and Lord Darkstrom (voice). You can find at the bottom of the page my interview with the latter for Molde as well as the one for his Darkstrom project.  As far as "Shroud Of The Necromancer" is concerned, I'll reassure the fearful ones right away: Molde hasn't changed its old-school style and remains anchored in a very pure black metal, with more atmospheric or doom passages (even if they are less marked than in the past, violence and speed dominating more here, at least on the beginning of the album). "Il n'y a que celui qui ne fait rien qui ne se trompe jamais" Bonjour Atlantis Chronicles, vous existez depuis 2010 et vous proposez un metal progressif qui n'a jamais cessé d'évoluer... Pouvez-vous nous parler de votre aventure musicale ? En réalité, l’aventure est bien plus ancienne. Alex (guitare) et Sydney (batterie) sont potes depuis l’école primaire et, à l’adolescence, ils se sont intéressés à la musique et ont découvert le metal. Chacun s’est trouvé un instrument et s’y est mis à fond, puis en rajoutant des musiciens, ils ont fondé ce qui deviendra au final Atlantis Chronicles.   BILLIE EILISH Happier Than Ever 2021 Interscope Records Il y a deux ans de cela, le premier album de Billie Eilish ( When We Fall Asleep Where, Do We Go ?) , 17 ans à l'époque, a impressionné un paquet de monde, dont votre Scribe. La (très) jeune femme y faisait montre d'une audace rare dans la pop formatée de notre temps et y étalait un talent évident. Le disque s'est vendu par palettes, faisant de Billie la porte étendard de la génération Z et intriguant la critique "sérieuse".  Aujourd'hui, c'est toujours accompagnée de son frère, avec qui elle compose et enregistre depuis ses débuts, que Billie revient avec un deuxième album TRES attendu, au titre ironique de  Happier Than Ever.  Alors, disons le tout de suite, Billie ADORE Lana Del Rey (moi aussi ça tombe bien) mais ne lui arrive pas encore à la cheville. Bach   Bienvenue dans le Scribe du Rock, Mur, c'est la deuxième fois que nous échangeons. La première eut lieu lors de la sortie de votre premier album Brutalism. Aujourd'hui nous nous retrouvons à l'occasion de la sortie de l'EP Truth. Pouvez vous nous parler un peu de ce nouveau bébé ? La sortie de « Brutalism » s’est très bien passée. L’accueil a été au-dessus de nos attentes. Mais avec l’arrivée de la pandémie, nous n’avons pas pu défendre l’album sur scène autant que notre agenda le prévoyait.  Nous avons donc continué le travail de composition en studio et avons enregistré « Black Core », un single que nous avons sorti avec un clip en aout 2020. Jours Pâles by Asphodèle Avec "Jours Pâles" Asphodèle ont sorti un album marquant l'année 2019 de son empreinte. Audrey, chanteuse dans le duo et également génitrice de Malenuit, n'est pas une inconnue, pusique vous retrouverez facilement les groupes dont elle a fait partie dans le passé et qu'elle ne souhaite pas évoquer ici. Numéro 18 de mon TOP 50 (et quelques) de l'année 2019, "Jours Pâles" est vraiment un bel album, a la fois authentique et foutrement original. Salut à toi Sanglant ! Tu viens de Bretagne et tu nous proposes différents projets ayant pour trait commun un son hyper lo-fi et raw, peux tu te présenter et nous parler de ces projets que sont  Crévüre, Château Sanglant et Vouge ?  Salut ! En premier lieu merci pour cette interview. En effet je vie maintenant en Bretagne (au bout du bout du Finistère) depuis quelques temps même si je suis née bien bien loin de cette terre, ça doit bien faire maintenant 7 ou 8 ans que je suis dans ce qu'on pourrait appeler le "monde de la musique" même si ça fait que quelques mois pour le Black Metal. J'ai commencé dans la musique par le Chant puis la Batterie, la Guitare et enfin la Basse ce qui me permet aujourd'hui de pouvoir réaliser entièrement seule chaque sortie (hors une part de la partie graphique). Pour ce qui est de mes projets je n’en tiens aucun comme étant le principal et les autres des side-projects. Tous ont un but différent et sont là pour une raison différente. C...

Mutiilation...ce nom résonne comme une belle flambée dans le ciel de France...Fer de lance des mystérieuses Légions Noires (qui resteront un mystère pour toujours), Meyhnach, âme sombre derrière ce combo mythique a semé des graines de noirceur indélébiles dans nos âmes abruties. Mutiilation c'est un mythe aux quatre coins de la planète, un des groupes les plus importants de toute l'histoire du Black Metal.
