Yes, it is an honour to be able to exchange with a legend like Pete Trewawas (member of Marillion and bassist of Transatlantic) to evoke the new album of this supergroup of progressive rock composed, or Pete, no less than Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater and 666 million collaborations), Roine Stolt (Mr Flower Kings, whose interview can be read on the Scribe) and Neal Morse, a giant of US prog, notably with Spock's Beard and with a more than brilliant solo career. Since 2000, these giants of prog that are Transatlantic never stagnated, and never did the same album twice. It is this time with their most ambitious project, the simultaneous release of an album in two totally different versions, one long and the other shorter, and reworked and re-recorded tracks that they come back to us. Erre de Numen Numen is a superb example of Black Metal from the Spanish Basque Country, and also a veteran band, having been around since 1997. To mark the release of their latest album, “Erre,” on Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions, I had the chance to interview them. Hello, Numen. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your new album, “Erre”? Hi, greetings from Arrasate—Lander here. Thank you very much for having us. The new album consists of five tracks. It’s still Numen, but there’s been an evolution in technical skill and song composition. Without straying from our roots, it's aggressive, straight-ahead black metal—Numen in its purest form. As for the lyrical content, the entire album is conceptual. 'Erre' means 'To Burn', and It deals with the witch hunts carried out in Iparralde back in the early 17th century. William Sheller visiblement inspiré Pourquoi William Sheller ? Mais vous allez me dire : que vient faire William Sheller, pape de la chanson de qualité, dans un blog consacré au rock et à ses dérivés ? Le scribe du rock s'est-il vu imposer des quotas de la part de la commission francophone du blogging (copyright) ?  Rien de tout cela, je vous assure. Non, la raison est toute simple en vérité. J'aime tellement la musique de William Sheller ! Et, pour moi, si Sheller avait été américain, il aurait été forcément classé dans le rock, anglais ? avec les Beatles ! Mais peu importe ! Entretien avec Emilien Nohaic, des éditions Les Flammes Noires "Pour le nom de la maison d’édition, je voulais quelque chose avec « noir », quelque chose qui soit court, facile à retenir, mais qui peut être facilement visualisé. Le feu, c’est la passion, c’est chaud, ça peut à la fois détruire et nourrir…" (Émilien Nohaic) Les Flammes Noires est une jeune maison d'éditions spécialisée dans les livres traitant du metal.
