Erre de Numen Numen is a superb example of Black Metal from the Spanish Basque Country, and also a veteran band, having been around since 1997. To mark the release of their latest album, “Erre,” on Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions, I had the chance to interview them. Hello, Numen. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your new album, “Erre”? Hi, greetings from Arrasate—Lander here. Thank you very much for having us. The new album consists of five tracks. It’s still Numen, but there’s been an evolution in technical skill and song composition. Without straying from our roots, it's aggressive, straight-ahead black metal—Numen in its purest form. As for the lyrical content, the entire album is conceptual. 'Erre' means 'To Burn', and It deals with the witch hunts carried out in Iparralde back in the early 17th century. Your songs explore the ancient beliefs of the Basque Country. Could you give us some examples of these beliefs and the rituals associate...

Bonjour ! Asphodèle est un projet...

Since the 90's Sigh is giving us, lucky bastards we are, a very singular way of Black Metal with a lot of elements from different kinds of music. No limits could be the word when it comes to Sigh...Somewhere inbetween Classic Thrash Metal, Psychedelism, Progressive Metal and Black Metal from outer space, there is Sigh ! Here's the story, so far...

Commence To Mince by AGATHOCLES MINCECORE FOR PASSION NOT FOR FASHION ! Interview with Jan Frederickx from AGATHOCLES Ever heard of bands that have remained totally honest, perfectly faithful to their ideals in both word and deed for over 35 years? Not common, believe me! AGATHOCLES, Belgian band who invented the Mincecore current, a pure and hard version of Grindcore with an even more marked fidelity to the Punk roots is one of these rare birds. 35 years they've been fighting against the system, faithful to anarchist ideals from which they've never deviated. Jan, one of the band's historians, gave me this beautiful and long interview where we talk about the history of grind, the birth of Mincecore, real antifascism that is not a witch hunt, Seth Putnam from Anal Cunt and many other things! Thanks again to Jan and the whole band for this PASSIONATE interview! Hello Agathocles ! Thank you for this interview. You were born as a band in 1985 ! Can you remin...

The words of Izedis Apirikubabadazuzukanpa TRIBUTE TO DUSTIN JEFFRIES  1981-2020 When I did this interview with Izedis from Enbilulugugal, I was far from thinking that it would probably be the last one he gave since he sadly left us in February 2020. The young man (barely 38 years old) had accumulated many health problems for a long time and his heart finally gave out. A charming boy, whose death shocked me so deeply that I found him deeply unjust. He thus joins the idols Seth Putnam or GG Allin in the pantheon of the Extreme Rockers, whose life was as crazy as the music. Still. What sadness to learn that this talented, misunderstood boy, poor as a day without bread, was going to add his stone to the edifice of the artists who were broke too early and broke at the banking level. His music, strange magma of Punk, Noise, Black Metal, Grind and unknown sounds certainly deserves better than the mockery or the little respect he was given. Let's hope at least that this inter...

Bonjour Laurent ! Donc oui, dix ...
