DEATHCORE TRAP METAL WITH DESPISED MASSES
Hi Cody, can you introduce yourself to our readers ?

Hello this is Cody of Despised Masses, I also go by my stage/producer name Cid DoDie but it hasn’t caught on just yet haha.

Your music i discovered on Soundcloud is truly fascinating. It's kind of mix of Trap Metal, Deathcore with experimental touches. Do you agree ?

Yes I’d would say that is a good sum of what I’m doing. The mix of screaming with bass heavy patterns and breakdowns with random touches from different genres helps give the music a fresh taste.

DEATHCORE MEETS TRAP METAL IN CHAOS

Do you think Trap Metal is going to be a big thing ?

I honestly can see it getting huge. I haven’t been following it as long as a lot of people. But l, I have seen a lot of artists I’m starting to get to know get a lot more recognition then they were years ago when things were just starting in the scene. I feel it will have a huge impact on rap and even spill over and influence more metal bands as well…

Interview with Jarno Salomaa (guitars/Keyboards)
FUNERAL DOOM METAL WITH BLACK METAL SHAPES
Can you remind us the conditions of birth of the band ? You were first called Raven, back in 1998, and you were already playing melodic and dark profound Funeral Doom ? How did you passed from one band to another and why ?

Yes, we started around '94/'95 with Raven. At first, Raven's music were actually more in the vein of today's post black metal without vocals. On atmosphere-wise it drove pretty much the same as later when we slowed things down for good. We made one rehearsal recording back at the first year and then left everything behind for some reason. Can't remember were it cause of other bands (With Death, Haven in shadows, Wanderer etc..)..we had a lot of projects going on at that time with just the few of us living near by. Lots of journeys into the woods and too little of sleep while making music, best way to inspire. But, then in '98 we decided with Raven to re…

GRINDCORE FROM NETHERLANDS : 25 YEARS OF INHUME IN INTERVIEW ! (ENGLISH AND FRANÇAIS)

Image
Hi Inhume! You are celebrating your 25 years of existence with a beautiful digipack released at Xenokorp records. Can you remind us the origins of the band, your influences back then, and what did you want to do with Inhume?

Hello all, first of all thanks for the kind words and what can i tell you, Inhume set out to be the most brutal band ever! We all came from other bands in different styles of metal but with the same interest to start this new band. At that time we were heavily influenced by bands like Terrorizer, Napalm Death, Carcass, Brutal Truth etc. but i think we found our own style right away. The initial try out consisted of 9 people but it immediately setled at 5 and when recording the first demo back in ’95 i joined. I had been in a band with drummer Roel in the previous 4 or 5 years so we already knew each other quite well.

Your genre of music is often classified as “Brutal Death Metal/Grindcore” what do you think about this appellation and does it fit you? What is the par…
